TALL TALES IN TINY PLACES: THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED
Janus Theatre Company has put on over 55 productions since its humble beginnings. The company has won multiple awards for Best Play, Best Theatre and Most Popular Show. The group has worked in the suburbs as well as Chicago, and internationally at the London Fringe Festival, Ontario, Canada.
In caffeine-crazed cafes you will find us; in perennial-filled garden greenhouses, you have seen us; in micro-brewery lofts, you have struggled to hear us; and in old studio theatres you’ve braved Chicago traffic to come out and support us. And now, after eight years of wandering, Janus will settle down at the Elgin Art Showcase.
Janus Theatre Company is a group of theatre professionals who strive to present work that is classic and contemporary. Our mission is to produce a variety of challenging theatre throughout the western Chicago suburbs, thereby exposing the public to a greater range of theatrical experience.
Our work is fun, challenging and will leave you with questions. From Sam Shepard, David Mamet, Eve Ensler and David Sedaris to Pierre Marivaux, Georges Feydeau and Euripides, the company continues to explore and present work that is a cross-section of the theatrical canon.
